Our first project for Empowering Women is our Vocational Training project, devoted to helping Nepalese women become certified and self-sustaining. We will start with just one woman, and grow from there. Our hope is to establish an apprentice system, so that after finishing school, the graduate goes on to continue their education in a professional environment.
The first step in this process is fundraising. We are covering the costs of tuition, transportation, food during school, and a professional grade sewing machine upon the satisfactory completion of the curriculum. The cost breakdown is made with researched estimates, but these are not final costs.
We have begun the search for our first candidate and will update you as soon as we can about her. In the meantime, if you are ready to support the program, please consider offering a donation.
